Gradius 3 is one of the best side scrolling shooters you can get on the SNES. You pilot the Vic Viper, most awesome fighter ever built and you fly though space with it to take down the Bacterion Empire.
Before you start the game you are given a choice on what kind of weapon load out you want, you can choose between three pre-arranged load outs or get creative with a custom one. This game can be difficult since when you die you will lose all your power ups and will have to collect them again.
